The nature reserve is in the intermediate archipelago and constitutes a natural continuation of the Träskö-Storö and Kalholm archipelagos towards the north-east. It comprises approximately 25 islets and skerries with a total land area of around 31 hectares.
The nature reserve has no buildings at all, and consists of beautiful large and small islets and skerries. The larger islets have pine forest, while the smaller ones are barren skerries with, among other things, a very rich bird population. The reserve was purchased by the foundation in 1996.
