The Archipelago Foundation is conducting several projects in addition to its normal operations. These projects are all relevant to the mission of the Foundation, and deal with the general development and preservation of the archipelago.
The various projects cover a wide range of issues. Examples include: animal inventories, increasing accessibility for those with disabilities, tourism, information about various types of environmental impact and environmentally sensitive alternatives for energy and waste treatment on islands, and making the archipelago more attractive to young people.
The projects are mainly funded from external sources, including government agencies, and thus do not affect the base operations of the Foundation.
