Rocks and inlets

Most of the islands are comprised of flat, open rocky ground and pine forests.

The hollows are home to various deciduous trees, with thicker ground cover. The shoreline consists of flat rocks and sections of reed. Shore meadows and shallow inlets surround the islands. There is an excellent natural harbour at Södra Fladen between Jungfruskär, Kuggmarena and Grönskär.
