The varied and rugged landscape around Häringe and Hammersta with its high rocks, bays, small-scale farming, groves and oak meadows offers exciting outdoor experiences. There is traditional culture here in the form of the beautiful Häringe Castle and the ruins of Hammerstahus.

Ranger’s tips

Both Häringe and Hammersta are especially popular among hikers. A beautiful rural landscape and the natural world of the archipelago in a harmonious blend. Several hiking trails starts at Häringe, while Hammersta is well suited for more unstructured rambling. Gates between the pastures make it easy to get around. The trail passes a small sandy beach ideal for swimming, after Häringenäs.

And be sure to visit the ruins at Hammersta – they are well worth it!
