Building heritage

The buildings of the Archipelago Foundation consist of everything from listed 18th century houses to lighthouses, inns and hostels.

The buildings reflect three centuries of archipelago life: the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, and are a major part of the cultural landscape, and a significant part of our cultural heritage. Care for these buildings, therefore, has become one of the main tasks of the Foundation, in addition to its work caring for the landscape.
